Re: Cremation in Process, Body Being Burned
Unfortunately, I know the answer to this question. I recently lost my 20 year old nephew to a heroin overdose (which caved my world in) and they "presented" him in a cardboard box for the viewing. This was courtesy of the Neptune Society, the fuckin' bottomfeeders. They didn't even put Artie's face back on straight after autopsy - I think it's because his grandmother was trying to save on expenses and didn't want to rent a casket for 2hours at a cost of $1300. (She's got to have money for the casino, after all, the fuckin' cow.) But I digress. They usually burn them in the cardboard box and, if you're the Neptune Society, I figure you probably don't advise the family of this. You let them purchase an expensive casket, trade it for the cardboard version right before the firefest, then turn around and resell it to the next grieving family. Then, to maximize profits, you burn a week's worth of "customers" together at the same time to save on fuel costs, then just hand out handfuls of ash orgy and tell them it's their loved one. The Lakeside chapter of Neptune Society in California was prosecuted for this last offense. I'm just speculating (okay, talking shit) on the rest because I fuckin' despise them. |
