Couple Shot Dead in Ecuador Drive-By
Jean Carlos Bravo, 21, had been released from prison less than 24 hours (after doing a year for extortion) when he and his girlfriend Aylin Pihuave Rodriguez, 19, were gunned down while riding a motorcycle near the Tarqui cemetery in Manta City. According to witnesses, a large silver-colored car intercepted the two in the middle of the street and opened fire. Aylin was shot in the head and fell from the bike, faceplanting and dying almost immediately. Jean Carlos tried to get off the bike about ten feet down the road, but was shot more than five times and died in the gutter. The couple had started going out shortly before Jean Carlos' prison stint and had recently posted on social media that they wanted to start trying to have a baby. Probably better for the world in general that said plan never came to fruition. |

Pretty sure they aren't going to be missed by any but close family who, in all likelihood, will secretly be relieved that this happened before it was visited on even more of them.
