Couple Executed at the River

According to the state attorney general, investigators believe that the crime was motivated by money, specifically by the dispute over the amount that she should receive on monthly basis from her former husband (who apparently was on the loose a couple of days after); she used to get the 40% of his income (Alimony + Child support for the other son). They were asleep at home when they received a phone call, and as they left their home they've been intercepted by at least two criminals, and forced into their own pickup at gunpoint, and driven to the crime scene. She was shot first as she was getting off the car, he was shot while he was still inside the car.

Thanks for the clarification. My Spanish isn't great, so I sometimes misinterpret details and distinctions for things like boyfriend/husband, etc.
