Apologies if this is a repost - I just did a quick search and found nothing. Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic - October 2017 The body of attorney and former president of the National Law Commission (CONA) Yuniol Ramírez, reported missing, was found today in the Manoguayabo River in the Los Alcarrizos sector, confirmed sources of the investigation. The body had a block of construction tied to the neck by a chain, and had a gunshot wound in the occipital region, said pathologist Juan Tomás Pérez told reporters after a preliminary analysis. Ramirez's vehicle, which was teaching at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), had been parked since yesterday on the campus, where it was last seen, and authorities proceeded to remove it to look for clues inside. So did he float back up from decomp & gas? If he were to be split down the middle freeing up the intestines, would he float back up? He still has dishwasher hands & he is still oozing blood & fully clothed, so I'm thinking he could not have been in the water long enough to blowout gas & pop back up. Strange one.

Shot once in the face, two blocks tied to his chest, and his body found partly submerged in a stream in Santo Domingo Oeste, Thursday’s gang-style murder of attorney and Santo Domingo State University (UASD) professor, Yuniol Ramírez, has rocked the country. Several sectors have demanded a rapid response from authorities to clarify the case, as speculations emerge. Superior Electoral Tribunal (TSE) former judge John Guilliani tweeted that Ramírez, who was also president of the association of lawyers -CONA-, “was part of the campaign against former TSE judges, and it seems his underworld friends collected a debt.” While Luis Abinader, presidential candidate of the main opposition party (PRM), on social networks posted condolences for Ramirez’s murder. “I’m very saddened by the murder of Yuniol Ramírez. I hope this horrendous crime doesn’t go unpunished. My condolences to the family.” The authorities believe that the attorney was kidnapped inside the UASD campus, because his SUV was in the parking lot, with his belongings still inside.
