The body of a 36-year-old woman, identified only as Samantha, was found in a sugarcane field, with her left arm having been predated to the bone in a likely post-mortem animal attack. Samantha had left home telling her mother she wouldn't be long. After her sudden disappearance caused concern among her family, intense searches were carried out until her body was found in the field.

Witnesses reported seeing two vehicles near the location where the body was left. Initial forensic analysis indicated marks possibly caused by gunshots and animal attacks on the victim's body.

Samantha leaves behind four children.
