the only explanation i have is white = new and green = old

It is just the way their opaque bodies show on film while on a body. Their color can vary though to translucent to white to off white to gray to greenish.

im a paramedic and I still can't get over the smell of rotten corpse...I don't see how some people don't cover there nose lol

Usually the head decomposes/decays from the inside out because of the high levels of bacteria inside the mouth...it propagates from there.

Also more openings in the head for flies to lay eggs, so maggots can begin digesting the corpse.
