Wow, I never knew such a thing existed before today. Great set of pictures and very educational.

Now that I think about it, a sky burial is the most environmentally friendly way to bid a deceased one farewell. Not any of that burning or putting body in a wooden box crap.

To me it's like the person is returning to nature.

I heard about this on a documentary but obviously didn't show what they did. It isn't the family that performs the sky burial, usually people from the same village I think. Family and friends pay their respects before the body is taken for the sky burial.
