I know it was only for pure demonstation purposes. (just to demonstrate the Soviet's power). He himself wanted to be buried next to his mother. After the fall of the comunism (especially while the Putin era) it was seriously discussed to finally bury him, but then decided to keep up the status quo with his body. |

the guy they're bathing doesn't look anything like lenin. he has a 5 o'clock shadow, no goatee and a full head of hair. |

Sorry to say, but this isn't Lenin. It's just some old dude. This is a pretty old photo that's been floating around claiming to be his corpse for some time. Still interesting photos though.
