This teenage girl was attending a Christmas party at a friend's house. In a grievous social oversight, the hostess also invited this girl's recent ex-boyfriend. At some point during the party this young lady was seen posing for 'selfie' shots with another fella and was seen to give him a big hug afterwards.

The ex-boyfriend was troubled by this display of affection and, bolstered by a bit of liquid courage and a gross lack of Christmas spirit, drew a knife and advanced on the girl. According to witnesses, she screamed and turned to try and run away, but he closed the gap too quickly and stabbed her twice in the upper back. She made it as far as the sidewalk outside where she collapsed on her back and died from blood loss. The drunken ex fled and hid in some nearby woods, but was apprehended the following day.
