I'm not quite sure but i know they all get weighed etc. I suppose if the cause of death is unknown then they need to take a detailed look. Perhaps Sharon will know

The usually don't put everything back, they keep some samples for record and dispose of the rest of the insides as medical waste. Morticians often have to stuff the body with filler to make it look right.
