Douglas, 48, was traveling in a U.S. military convoy working on securing a Memorial Day on U.S. troops in Iraq when the explosion occurred.
He traveled with CBS soundman James Brolan, 42, who was also killed in the attack. The two men were accompanying CBS correspondent Kimberly Dozier, 39, who survived and was listed critical but stable condition at JET press. A U.S. soldier and an Iraqi translator were also traveling with the crew died in the blast and six U.S. soldiers were wounded.
