I've always wondered if any crime were occasionally punished like this, that the crime rate would suddenly diminish. Wouldn't it be neat if instead of just 3 months jail for stealing a car, the sentence was minimum 3 months, and you have to spin a wheel with a 1 in 20 chance of getting killed? Might put a few people off...
