Car Hits Truck Head-On Between Juazeiro and Curaca, Bahia, 2014; Four Women Die
Initial accounts said that four female occupants died when a car and a truck crashed head-on on December 18, 2014, along the highway joining Juazeiro and Curaca in northern Bahia, Brazil. One driver sustained only slight injuries. It was not clear whether the surviving driver had been operating the truck or the car, and the reported number of deaths remained provisional at that stage. The date was inferred from the WhatsApp naming convention used in the photo filenames, not from the accompanying prose. Although BR-235 connects the two towns, the available material did not identify the highway by number, so that designation is not presented as confirmed. A Bahia news outlet apparently published a headline that matched almost word for word, but it could not be retrieved and the apparent match remains unconfirmed. Assertions that the car exceeded 100 mph or definitely lost control were speculative claims by members, with no reporting to support them. |

Odd, must've been going quite fast in that case. |
