Actually nastiness like this is pretty rare. Most of the calls are nuisance calls, crackheads looking for a ride to the hospital to scheme meds, stuff like that. I'm lucky to be a federal firefighter and for the most part get to be sheltered for most crackheadery. We still have dominion over some major highway and road sections and get people driving stupid. I'm the "white cloud" though, nothing happens on my watch. They had a gnarly accident this past Saturday... 12 hours before I came on duty.
