Cambodian Woman Murdered Her Tiny 14 Year Old Son
In Phnom Penh on 2nd July 2018, 40 year old Sor Ang murdered her 14 year old son, Phenpong. Apparently, she has a 'serious mental illness' (ya don't say!). A neighbour stated that Sor Ang lived with her husband + 2 sons. The eldest son (the one she killed) argued a lot with his mother + they were both receiving treatment for mental illness. The neighbour states that the husband was at work + the younger son was at school on the day of the murder. Mother + son were arguing then it went quiet. Sor Ang, went to the neighbour after locking the house up + handed over the key. She stated that she had killed her son, then went to the police station to confess. The police went to the house + found the boy dead in the bathroom. He had been stabbed to death + a pestle had also been used in the murder.       |

Mental health services in these countries is virtually non-existent. I'm surprised they even recognised it.
