Another failed dismemberment. Wonder what the motive was, if any?

Well you know Cambodian translations, just making enough sense to get one sentence is an accomplishment!

Re: Cambodian Man Killed by His Son Yesterday

This one affected me a little more than most, because I care deeply about my father. I could never imagine what it would take to drive a child to end their parent in such a cruel way. I only hope that at least at some point they saw themselves as family, and not enemies.

Not everyone has a decent relationship with their parents. Just because they are your parents, it doesn't excuse them for all the shit they give you. It's good that you have a good relationship with your father, not all of us are in the same situation.

I'm sorry I...I didn't mean to give the impression that parents can't be bad, and that bad relationships can't form. I am very aware of this myself. It's just that for me it's tragic when bad blood can cause these sorts of consequences. I had expressed hope that at least at one time they cared for one another. That in one way, it wasn't all bad. That there was some good.

I understand your view totally. If you've always had a good relationship with your parents, it's hard to comprehend any different.

Re: Cambodian Man Killed by His Son Yesterday

the victim was killed by three stabs/slashes, one in the chest, one in the left shoulder and one in the throat caused by a knife.
Before the incident, the victim was drunk (again) and came home screaming. His wife and son were suffered unbearable and the son grabbed a knife and slashed his father.
He and the son both were farmers so the victin was probably an alcoholic spending his wage on booze and leaving his wife and son with little to buy/eat. Happens often there.
The son.
