1. On 19th November 2017 in Kampong Thom (Cambodia), a man committed suicide after attacking his wife.

31 year old T.T., who's heavily pregnant, was stabbed in the shoulder by her husband, 34 year old S.C. The man then hanged himself. Thankfully 'T's injury was not fatal + she received treatment at home.

2. On the evening of 5th May 2021 in Kampong Siem district (Cambodia), a woman died when she was stuck by lightning. She leaves 2 young children.

3. On 20th November 2017 in Kampot province (Cambodia), 62 year old O.S. was murdered.

'O', a traditional healer, was decapitated. 'S’s head was not found at the scene.

His neighbour said, “he did not deserve to die, he a quiet man who spent his days tending to his three cows. This was revenge for his sorcery. But I don’t think he was a sorcerer.”

Locals stated that 'O' was often seen "talking to himself, nailing stakes aimlessly along the roads + shouting that he had sickened their relatives with black magic".

'O's family believe that his behaviour was down to a mental illness + his excessive drinking. They had to cremate his body as the locals were afraid of something bad happening if he was buried.

Another local stated, “when I saw his face, I would walk away. It’s better for him to be dead than alive. Whoever he touched, wherever he touched them, they would get sick.” Some locals confessed that they now fear being haunted by his ghost. “When he was alive, we were scared, now that he’s dead, we’re still scared.”

On the 24th, 2 people were arrested for the murder of 'O'.

4. On 24th November 2017 in Soun Sana Phet village (Cambodia), 27 year old B.R. committed suicide 3 months after his divorce.
