Cambodia - South African Teacher Died from an Overdose
On the morning of 18th April 2019 in Siem Reap (Cambodia), 31 year old I.V.S. died. 'I', who had moved to Cambodia from South Africa to teach English, had been suffering from anxiety + depression for a long time. His mental state had led him to become a drug addict + he had hoped that his new life would change that. He died of a heart attack, brought on by an overdose, at a hospital. *Normally I wouldn't bother posting with a lack of death photos (+ it being partly censored too) but I'm not certain if we've ever had a South African dying in Cambodia on here.*

Seems to be the first South African in our "last stay in Cambodia" serie... I'm also questioning this "get rid of your drug addiction in Cambodia" method... maybe he did want to reduce gradually until he doesn't need these anymore? |

But you probably didn't head off to Cambodia, with $5 heroin and 50 cent pills.

Re: Cambodia - South African Teacher Died from an Overdose
You're right, but even so, I'm still glad to not have succumbed to my former addiction. I may have shortened my life-expectancy (ultimately, time will only tell) but I still made it. |
