Cambodia - Man Hacked His Wife to Death then Hanged Himself (#2)
On 12th January 2017 in the Kompong Thom Province (Cambodia), 32 year old K.O. was killed by her husband. 35 year old K.C. hanged himself after hacking his wife to death. Police state that 'K' was a drunk + he was also mentally ill. *I've not been able to find photos of the woman completely uncensored.

I am always fascinated by these suicides by hanging where the person is in a position to save themselves but do not... The human will to survive is a powerful thing. Apparently, the will to die is just as strong. |

Most of the time compression of the carotid artery will render the hanger unconscious within 10 seconds of partial suspension. They're out like a light before the have the chance to fight much. The rougher ones, I think, are the ones that are fully suspended on thin/narrow ligatures and take much longer to black out. Those are the ones most often found with their fingers ineffectually clutching at the noose. :/ |

Thanks so much for the info! Very interesting to know... 10 Seconds is really quick, I didn't know that. To me, that is much better than the "fingers clutching at the neck" scenario. Seems like you'd just fade away, slipping into unconsciousness and finally into death.
