I'm well aware that Oriental isn't the term to use for people, instead it's used for objects from the Orient. I wouldn't say it to an East Asian person. I call my son a Chinky **** too (he's also part Vietnamese), it's a good job that he's not some little snowflake. Though I use it as a term of endearment - it sounds cute.
