Cambodia mining organisation

that's "demining".

These guys were members of Cambodian nongov organization "Cambodian Self Help Demining".

Announcement on their website:

Cambodian Self Help Demining is in mourning. On Monday, 10 January, Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team 3 was responding to a call-out in Preah Vihear Province. There was an explosion, resulting in the death of 3 team members and the injury to a fourth.

Probably a heavy loss for a group of some 20 deminers, one out of five teams gone.

20 years of civil war tends to do this to your country, some five millions of landmines and other unexploded ordinance lying around.

I already posted this link here. This man claims he was trained to use mines by Khmer Rouge since he was 10, and watching how he handles this green beauty, I tend to believe him. He says he spent next fifteen years in army, Khmer Rouge first, then Vietnam army, then Cambodian army, and finally was discharged in 1993 to finish school(!).
