Cadet Death at Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, March 19, 2023
An 18-year-old second-year cadet died by suicide on March 19, 2023, while serving a 24-hour duty detail at Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, a Ministry of Internal Affairs police academy in Lviv, Ukraine. He had been assigned to a post on the university grounds and issued a service weapon for the duty. His body was found there that evening. The State Bureau of Investigation took the case from the National Police after possible third-party involvement was raised. It opened proceedings under Part 1 of Article 120 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, covering incitement to or driving a person to suicide. Investigators questioned university employees, teaching staff and faculty leadership. The university also began an internal service investigation. His family said he had described conflicts with academy leadership and alleged that a detailed note had disappeared, but no investigative body confirmed the existence of a note. The faculty dean was suspended and was later dismissed from the National Police.  ·  ·  ·  · |

The AKS-74U is a cool little weapon. Basically a short-barrel version of the AK-74. Fires the 5.45x39mm ammo. (kinda like a .22mag on steroids) |

5.7x28 is closer to .22mag on steroids. 5.45 is just Russian 5.56. My .02
