Here's gross anatomy at Paris Medical School.

Gross Anatomy involves students prosecting the corpses and examining different organs, tissues, systems, muscles, nerves and circulatory vessels. Some medical schools such as St. Georges in the Carribean only offer a quick gross anatomy section with the cadavers already prosected and put on display; this is due to the shortage of cadavers per student ratio. However, most US and European medical schools require students to engage in the entire process which can take up to the whole semester and often requires hours of de-skinning, fat trimming, and examination. Newer innovations in technology have made many schools consider a computerized anatomy lab only in the future.

For people who have a stronger morbid curiosity, check with your local medical school admission department to see if you can schedule a tour. Often, prospectives are allowed to partake in anatomy labs if they are open.

Yep, generally I send out at least five or six corpses (per month) to be used as cadavers

Yeah about the last one... when I went to UMDNJ-SOM last year to check out their campus I impulsively pulled back a towel that was placed on a cadaver's head area to find something very similar. It's kind of weird looking IRL. It's not a terrible experience though, I'm sure most people on this site would do fine and actually enjoy working with the students there for a day.
