Bus Flips Over and Lands on Woman's Head
(Guatemala) A Gold Star Line bus took a turn too fast and flipped over on its side last night, resulting in dozens of injured passengers. Initially multiple fatalities were reported, but once the scene was sorted it was discovered that only one person had died: this 30 year old high school teacher. Based on the photos and video, she seems to have flown out of the bus at a VERY inopportune time, resulting in the whole damned thing landing smack on top of her head, killing her instantly. The bus driver was seen fleeing the scene on foot. A nearly-empty bottle of liquor was discovered lying below the steering wheel and it is presumed that the accident was cause by his intoxication. There are more photos and videos online, but mostly just of crowds moving through and injured people covered by blankets. Since they contain no death and no gore, I have elected not to post them here. But here's the barefoot 30 year old teacher with her head under the bus. |
