Burned and Dismembered Remains Found in Bavet City, Svay Rieng, December 2024
Human remains that had been burned and dismembered were reported on waste ground in Bavet City, Svay Rieng province, Cambodia, late on December 1 or early on December 2, 2024. Bavet is a border city on the Vietnamese frontier. The remains were located in two separate burned areas on an open lot next to an unpaved road. Police cordoned off the site. A police source said the dead person might have been a Chinese national.      |

I think they tried just burning it to make it harder to get prints/dna. This could indicate that the one who ordered the kill does not want it trace back to him/her. Normally nobody cares in similar countries. Ironically finding the corpse like this would mean I’d put everybody on the case if I was in charge  |

What did he say? Small burn area and not much surrounding fuel to support such a thorough inferno. There must have been a little assistance from an accelerant.
