If that's the case, they are 7.62x39 casings specifically.

I'm frugal. I'm in the habit of picking up my casings for reloading. But it's cheap ammo - runs about $5.00/20 rounds.

Looks like an AK-74, instead of an AK-47. Either one would not be pleasant.

I had considered handloading at one time, but lack the technical skills. Besides, with my luck I would load too much powder and blow my face apart. You have my respect for doing it though.
