I live a mile from the Surf Ballroom and drive past the crash site twice a day. Here are a couple more pics of the crash site in color, the phone that is in the Surf that Ritchie Valens used to call his brother before they left, and the new monument just finished this summer here in Clear Lake in "Three Stars Plaza" down by the Surf. Its supposed to resemble 3 records on a spindle.
