Buddhist Monk Takes a Tumble
Cambodia - a twenty five year old Theramada Buddhist monk died after falling 10 metres from a Tamarind tree. He had climbed up to collect fruit. The monk began his religious career as a novice, aged four.

Re: Buddhist Monk Takes a Tumble
Maybe, but don't they believe that as long as there are lost "ignorant souls" in the world, they will return in another body to help them? Or something like that...

Re: Buddhist Monk Takes a Tumble
There are often stories about Buddhist monks on the website I use for my posts. It seems that drinking alcohol/illicit drugs and other misdemeanours are not that uncommon for some! They are often disgraced. |
