There are more places where they don't embalm than where they do embalm. Embalming is only popular in the United States, Canada, Philippines, New Zealand, and Australia. Sometimes it's done in Russia too. It's not that popular anywhere else.

I like these posts, because it's easy to become detached from reality on here, seeing body after body. These posts remind us of the emotional side of death, the people left behind, and help us see the person that was taken, rather than the corpse left behind.
