Re: Brutal Car Accident
You joke, but I've actually seen a crazy bastard go under a trailer on a motorcycle on I-85. Like, a normal semi-trailer. Initially, he kept looking at the trailer and moving his head up and down, and shifting in his seat. I thought he was looking at the trailer for some reason and trying to see something better, but in actuality he attempting to see if he could pull it off. When he started leaning in, I caught on and started yelling "No no fuck no jesus no" like he could hear me. Then woosh, under one side and out the other. He subsequently sped off. I pulled up even with the trailer and looked at the underside, and I have no idea how he managed to do it. The one area tall enough to possibly allow for his helmet was like maybe a foot wide, so he must've hit it perfectly. I got off my exit and a guy pulled up beside me and motioned for me to roll down my window, and said "That did not just happen. I saw it and still don't believe it." |

Re: Brutal Car Accident
I find it difficult to believe just because of the sudden air resistance when exiting from the other side must have been similar to hitting a wall. I say this because I saw an 18 wheeler change lanes over a small in Abq. The car driver seemed to attempt to pull out from under it the same way they went in but they spun perpendicular and went under the back sets of tires almost instantly it seemed. Now, I wasn’t in the best of views of this so I don’t know what the clearance space was or anything like that, and this was also a long time ago, pre-smart phones so the only reliable source on this is my old ass memory, but I remember the car seemed like it got hit by air resistance before the trailer crushed it. Like had the stepped on it and counter steered they’d have been ok. So in my mind, I feel like the biker would have come out and been grown from the bike. I don’t know. Its the first wreck I ever witnessed and I’ve had an internal debate if it was possible to get out of that situation ever since. |
