Broke Into The Wrong House
An old case. Circa-1997. Not sure where it happened, but I am assuming in the US.

Two thugs terrorized a married couple, Susan and Mike Gonzalez, until' Susan managed to grab ahold of her Ruger and shot one of the intruders. The wounded intruder collapsed in the couple's backyard and was subsequently ran over (and killed) by his speeding accomplice.
