British Woman, 32, Drowns on Valentine’s Day During a Dream Trip to Cambodia
A British woman drowned in Cambodia on February 14, 2017, Valentines Day, during a dream trip to a holiday island in Cambodia. Aisha, 32, was with a large group of friends when they rented boats for a snorkeling trip in the waters around idyllic Koh Rang. But when the group emerged from the sea to climb back into the boat, Aisha - who was from London - was missing and they began frantically searching for her. The tragic accident happened on Tuesday afternoon. Aisha's body washed up yesterday and was found by staff from the Koh Rong Dive Centre, who helped search for her. A spokesman for the centre said they were not in touch with any of the group. They added: "I do not know why she drowned, she was not diving or snorkeling with us." "We did search and recovery." "The sea is sometimes rough which can be difficult for an inexperienced swimmer." Koh Rong police chief Heng Kem An said: "Her friends confirmed that Aisha disappeared while they were snorkelling, they did not know what had happened to her." "There was a search for her but nothing appeared until yesterday." "It was staff from the diving centre that found her." Heartbroken her brother said that his sister had travelled to the remote island with friends and family as part of a dream trip to South East Asia. The family, from Tottenham, north London, are still in Cambodia. Aisha’s brother, an amateur boxer, said: "It's terrible. I'm aware of what happened. I don't know how or why it happened." "My family are over still over there. I've just got to get everything together. I'm all over the place." A post-mortem examination found the cause of death to be drowning. British Embassy officials in Phnom Penh are arranging for Aisha's body to be flown home. |

Love the helmet on phone guy. I get being well equipped for your job, but 90% of it seems to be excessive overkill for corpse recovery.
