Thai cops are not stupid, they are greedy. Seriously investigate and find out she ordered the killing and send her to jail. Bad idea. Better conclude there is no proof of any involvement so she can cash in on the insurance money and pay the cops for their co-operation. Everybody wins. A victimless crime (apart from the silly fat foreigner).
