Re: Break Me Off a Piece...

Dark times ahead for gorehounds.
Thanks for the info, Mr. V- in my unasked for opinion this is the direct result of the bullshit political correctness attitude. Might butthurt somebody with the portrayal of the real-life consequences of going soft on criminals, giving them more access to weapons than the average non-criminal, more rights as well. Brazil isn't America, but it could be, and soon. Real life isn't all whitebread soft and fuzzy, people die rough, in car accidents, work accidents, naturally. If one doesn't want to look at it, then don't, if real life is too messy. It has always been my thought, since coming to this site, that a bit of real-life car wreck footage that we have here should be mandatory for all kids getting their permits, as well as getting caught texting/ drinking and driving. Ah, it is late, I am tired and ranting.

Of course, I guess one can obtain a machete anywhere.

Re: Break Me Off a Piece...

In 2014, less than 25% of what I found was censored. Now, less than 25% is UNcensored. And the overall amount of gore posted has not increased commensurately. Clean images will be getting rarer and rarer unless we find a new stream. Etsu still does pretty well with her avenues, but even they have tightened up considerably in the year she's been posting.
I used to have some great sources with a steady feed but as you've stated, they've either stopped posting the images altogether or heavily censored them.

Was really annoying deleting all the sources from my Chrome Favourites file

But congratulations to all who manage to find content, it's a tough task

Re: Break Me Off a Piece...

Why would bloggers and independent journalists and shit be worried about tourist dollars? I'm not talking about the government censoring things (like they enforced in Thailand or tried to enforce in Mexico), but the reporters and photographers themselves. There's been no talk of governmental crack-downs on gore photos, though some have said it is getting harder for photogs to access crime scenes. I'm not saying you're completely wrong, of course. But I think you're incorrect if you feel that tourist dollars are the ONLY reason these images are being censored more often. Especially since it is often the bloodiest and goriest stuff that stays uncensored, whereas things like suicide and domestic killings are blurred to shit. I suspect it is more a combination of several factors.

As to this woman in the photo, you are correct that she was shot in the head. But she was also shot twice in the chest and in the arm, as well. It was a 'spray and pray' situation rather than a formal execution. Further, while I do not deny that theft was a possible motive (none was listed in the report), I will reiterate that they didn't even take her watch.
A watch means nothing to thieves if they know whats there.

Criminals go for guns, drugs and cash. But for all I know they could have had it in for them but there is a lack of violence towards them both.

Bloggers and independents can be threatened by other factors. The narco blogs were threatened by the cartels for releasing stuff and writing up on incidents.

Re: Break Me Off a Piece...

Might butthurt somebody with the portrayal of the real-life consequences of going soft on criminals, [...]
The consequences are neatly outlined in the recidivism rate charts and crime statistics for the Scandinavian countries, where soft on crime has been perfected. I'll summarise for you: soft on crime is great and the consequence is a reduction in crime and a reduction in recidivism and a reduction in the rate of violence and a reduction in work hazards for police and a reduction in public expenses; tough on crime is the opposite on all counts.

But by all means keep going the opposite direction of what available evidence suggests you should, or just ignore the evidence or whatever. Each to their own, and all that.
