Re: Break Me Off a Piece...

I think she was excited because it was a Chunky Kit Kat, I know I would be.
Why all the sudden sensitivity/ censoring? Embarrassment over the lack of any respect for life down there? It will never change...

I don't know for certain. I do know that the comment sections on the sites I source a lot of this stuff from have dramatically increased in user 'outrage' over uncensored images. When I started hunting for this shit a decade ago, the only comments were usually a few bad jokes in Portuguese or an occasional "the bitch deserved it" sort of remark. Nowadays every post has a dozen or more people on there screaming about respecting the dead or respecting the family, etc, etc.

I also believe that law enforcement has been gradually changing its viewpoint on this subject over time. With so many of these images now being posted in other countries (especially making the gore circuit in the US), they are beginning to place more restrictions on journalist access. They're also placing more penalties in place for emergency personnel who do post this stuff.

That's part of why we see so much less from Thailand these days. 95% of what we get from Thailand doesn't come from the news, it comes from EMTs and body removal crews posting huge sets from their cell phones to their Twitter feeds and FB accounts. But one of the ranking agencies in that organization dropped a huge hammer a few months ago and they now risk losing their jobs or paying heavy fines if they are caught posting uncensored images of the accident/crime/suicide scenes they work. :/

Dark times ahead for gorehounds.

Re: Break Me Off a Piece...

Enjoy it while you can. After many years of productive gore output, most Brazilian sources have begun heavily censoring their images over the past few months. Especially where dead females are concerned.

In 2014, less than 25% of what I found was censored. Now, less than 25% is UNcensored. And the overall amount of gore posted has not increased commensurately. Clean images will be getting rarer and rarer unless we find a new stream. Etsu still does pretty well with her avenues, but even they have tightened up considerably in the year she's been posting.
indeed posted regularly the last years but finding some good old-fashion pic is rare these days

Re: Break Me Off a Piece...

They're censoring shit ebcause it has become out of control and foreign money is a godsend. Make travellers scared of coming because of criminality and you lose the cash flow.

Nothing to do with feelings for the dead no matter what those commenters say.

There has been another prison riot and massacre in brazil and whilst they have always happened before, never with this much frequency. Brazil and SA has a serious problem they ar enot getting to grips with.

With respect to this set the girl was executed point blank to her noggin. You can see the hole above her eye.

It was pure theft, pure business.

Why would bloggers and independent journalists and shit be worried about tourist dollars? I'm not talking about the government censoring things (like they enforced in Thailand or tried to enforce in Mexico), but the reporters and photographers themselves. There's been no talk of governmental crack-downs on gore photos, though some have said it is getting harder for photogs to access crime scenes. I'm not saying you're completely wrong, of course. But I think you're incorrect if you feel that tourist dollars are the ONLY reason these images are being censored more often. Especially since it is often the bloodiest and goriest stuff that stays uncensored, whereas things like suicide and domestic killings are blurred to shit. I suspect it is more a combination of several factors.

As to this woman in the photo, you are correct that she was shot in the head. But she was also shot twice in the chest and in the arm, as well. It was a 'spray and pray' situation rather than a formal execution. Further, while I do not deny that theft was a possible motive (none was listed in the report), I will reiterate that they didn't even take her watch.
