Brazilian Woman Executed the Eve of International Women's Day
The saturday march 7th, the eve of International Women's Day, a barbaric murder shocked the residents of the small southern city of Almadina in Bahia. A young woman was shot, according to witnesses, by several armed men, all of them were members of a criminal organization active in that city. They shot her in the back and two more in her legs. She would have a direct connection with a criminal faction. The woman had already been the target of a homicide attempt last year, having been shot by some shots, but she survived. Uh, Vedderman, I hold your posts and comments in the highest respect here. But may I ask: what's a routine assassination of a local druggy lady got to do with International Women's Day? She was not marching in the streets in white dress arguing for the right to vote, or for equal pay, or freedom from domestic violence. She was just a person living her life, mixed up with gangs and drugs. Am I missing something here? |
