What a way to go. Just die in your chair in your own little house watching TV. A blessing.

Re: Brazilian Man Found Decomposing in His House

These blisters form 18–72 hours after death or later in cooler conditions, during the early putrefaction or bloat stage of decomposition.

Bacteria from the gut and environment multiply rapidly, producing gases and breaking down tissues creating pressure that separates the skin layers (epidermis from dermis), forcing fluid into the spaces and forming blisters.

They're often first seen on lower trunk, thighs and back where fluid pools due to gravity, but they can spread across the body.

The blisters are fragile and can rupture easily, leading to skin slippage, esp. on hands and feet, a glossy/sheeny appearance or leaking decomposition fluid.

I bet that smells really bad.

After death, anaerobic bacteria, esp. from the gut multiply rapidly and produce large amounts of gases, like methane, hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, etc. as they break down proteins and tissues.

This causes massive internal bloating. The abdomen swells first, but the pressure also affects the head and neck.

The tongue, being a soft, muscular organ, swells due to fluid accumulation and gas, while the jaw muscles relax (after rigor mortis passes) or loosen.

The combination pushes the swollen tongue forward and outward similar to how the eyes can bulge and fluids purge from orifices.

In advanced stages, the tongue can become dark, dry, or leathery as decomposition continues.

This guy is dead for at least 3 days but probably a week.

I understand he was a famous and well-known musical composer in Brazil.

But now he's just decomposing.
My sources say he died watching a concert by his favourite band ...

The Beatles!

$5 to anyone who will pop him with a pin.
Mt $5 says that's redundant because he already has a little prick.
