Re: Brazilian Actress Stabbed 12 Times by Co-star (2023 Update)
Today marks the 22nd anniversary of this murder. It made lots of headlines when I was a younger man and still makes the news every year in Brazil even now. Bumping the thread for this famous case for any interested viewers who have only joined DR in the past year. RIP Daniella.

Re: Brazilian Actress Stabbed 12 Times by Co-star (2023 Update)
For the 30th anniversary of this old, but extremely famous case, HBO-Max produced and aired a very thorough 5-part documentary series covering all aspects of this crime. If you're interested in the case and its many bizarre twists and turns, the documentary is very well done. Please watch it. Relevant to this site's purposes, however, I have taken a series of screen shots and added them to the OP for this thread. All of them are of the scene and either newly released or vastly improved versions of older ones. I also added some screenshots of an interview with Daniella's cousin as she goes over the clothing Daniella was wearing during the attack, which has been kept in a sealed bag for 29 years since the police returned the items to the family after the investigation. That shirt is just shredded with some seriously tight grouping on the stab wounds. Enjoy. This was one of my favorite cases to work on and research 12 years ago, so it was pretty cool to find the documentary on HBO. The link to People with the full story that I posted back in 2012 has since expired, but the case is pretty easy to search for yourself on Google or just go watch the excellent doc on HBO. |

Thanks for updating this case, Vedderman! I hope I'd manage to watch the documentary at some point. The crime scene pics with the two women crying beside Daniella's body are some of the most heartbreaking I've seen |
