Brazil - Young Lady Strangled, Chopped Up + Burned by Her Partner
On 25th March 2020 in Itaperuna (Brazil), 23 year old D.S.D., an ice cream shop worker, was last seen alive. Though the next night, her neighbours heard her arguing with her partner, 20 year old M.M.S. A while after the arguing had stopped, a neighbour reported that they had seen 'M' wearing bloodstained clothes whilst carrying plastic bags. When the neighbour questioned him, 'M', a butcher, stated that he had spent the whole night boning an ox. On the morning of the 27th, 'D's body was found. She had been quartered + burned. Later that day, 'M' was arrested, but was released due to lack of evidence. 2 days later, after a custody hearing, a temporary arrest warrant was issued. He was arrested again on the 30th. Traces of blood were found in the house that the couple had lived in for 2 years. 'M' confessed to the murder, stating that after they argued, he strangled her to death. Then for easier transportation of the body, he chopped her limbs off + put the remains in plastic bags. Once he had finished bagging up 'D's body, he put them in a wheelbarrow + walked to his dumping spot. Once there, he burned her body to make it more difficult to identify.

Re: Brazil - Young Lady Strangled, Chopped Up + Burned by Her Partner
Its always interesting to me how some of these murderers seem to go through all that trouble to cover up their crimes, brutalizing and disrespecting their victims, only to confess after being arrested. You knew you were probably going to be arrested and questioned, that is why you chopped up and burned the body in the first place, right? Why did you do something even more monstrous if you were just gonna confess out of guilt or whatever anyway? Now you gotta live with that nightmare shit you did to somebody. If you are some sensitive boy with the constitution of wet paper who is going to confess anyway, why even try to cover it up like that? Why not confess and say it was self defense if you want to be in denial about it?
