Brazil - Terminally Ill Man Shot Himself
On the afternoon of 22nd October 2020 in Manaus (Brazil), P.T. committed suicide. 'P' shot himself in the head on the settee inside his home. He had been suffering in pain for many years as he had chronic kidney failure. He had spent his days between living alone at home + long stays at the hospital. 'P', a retired civil police officer, had left a farewell letter + video, stating "the alternative you chose because you couldn't take so much suffering anymore." He said goodbye to everyone + asked for forgiveness for taking his own life. 'P' leaves 3 children + many friends. He was buried on the 23rd.

It's a terribly sad story, but it's hard to blame a guy in his situation for deciding when and how he's going to make his exit. |

Re: Brazil - Terminally Ill Man Shot Himself
This one really hits home. Been in kidney failure for years from a hereditary disease and I started dialysis a few months ago. Nothing but sickness, pain, and constant hospital trips. To be completely honest, it's bad enough that I've been seriously considering "letting go" myself. God bless you, brother, we'll meet in the afterlife, I'm sure. |
