Two men were murdered this morning in the city of Mossoró, in the Costa e Silva neighborhood. The murders took place between 2:00 and 2:05 am local time in the same neighborhood, but on two different streets.

The first homicide took place on Santana Street, where 19 year old A.S.F.B.D.S. was killed. According to MP who were at the crime scene, hooded men arrived in a black car, and hit ‘A’ several times with shotgun blasts. His father, R.F.D.S., who was in another room of the house was also shot in the chest, but was taken to a local hospital. There is no current information on his health.

The second took place only a few minutes later on Rua Bezerra street. J.M.D.A.J., aged 21, was sleeping in a room at the back of his house, and was quickly executed. Part of his brain was found not far from his body.

Police have no doubt that both victims were murdered by the same gunmen. In both houses, the same 12-gauge shells were found. As of now there is no motivation on the murders, but according to police both men have been through the prison system. ‘A’ for drug trafficking, and ‘J’ for theft.
