On the night of 24th July 2020 in the Canaan neighbourhood (Brazil), 30 year old M.M.D.S.F. was arrested on suspicion of murdering his mother, 52 year old R.M.F.D.S.

The dismembered body of 'R' was found inside a suitcase. Though, without her head, which has not been located. Along with the body parts, various items including a document were found. The document was signed by 'M' from when he attended a "Youth + Adult Education course (EJA)".

The scene of the crime was at the house of 'R'. Forensics had matched the blood found on her mattress to the blood found on a sheet that was with the body parts. 'M' had killed his mother under the influence of drugs.
