Here's my two cents.
She had a certain image she presented to the world. It probably was a lot of work being fake and looking fake when in reality she likely had a few psychological issues going on. I'm guessing she was also a pain in the ass to be around if you got into a relationship with her. The break up or cheating or whatever happened was just the last straw among various things she preferred people not to see/know about.
