little bastard changed his story again to his first one telling he killed the girl. Her cousin also told police she nearly lost her eyesight when the boy was fighting with another boy in class and he suddenly tried to stab her in the eye without reason.
Guess this is one of those teenage killers as they exist like we saw in the James Bulger case in the U.K.

Those fuckers were only 10! I still remember when that hit the headlines. Child's Play was used as a scapegoat, though I was a year younger + loved Chucky but I didn't go around killing toddlers!

....everything about this is just bizarre and intensely heart breaking. my daughter turned 10 on 1 October and I do not know how I would continue on if this happened to her.

I'd like to know if the boy was "planted" at the party by the man he mentioned. Children are more likely to trust other children, making it easier to lead her away. And I'm wondering if this has happened before. It would be interesting to hear if any other children her age have been abducted and killed in this area.

According to the article, she and the boy were friends prior to her murder. He had attended church before with the family. Her mother had left her in a line at the party while she went to get the girl some popcorn.

Cause of death was asphyxiation. They suspect she was sexually assaulted as well. I had wondered about this because the stain that looks like blood on the crotch of her romper.

I shouldn't have gone looking for more information but the story has been on my mind since reading here. My heart is aching terribly thinking of how her mother feels. Ugh. It makes me feel as if I could vomit. My love and sympathy goes out to her.
