I think her brain ejected and hit the ground first, then her body fell on top of the brain and the weight of her body squished and slid the brain on the ground in that direction.

Looks like the brain tried to get to another host body but could not climb the bed
I was thinking the same thing. I also thought that the brain was seeking to get up to the fan for suicidal purposes! No cage around the blades.
