Fairly common in Asia, both SE Asia and China. You don't see them too often on this site because they actually have a solid center of gravity and their involvement in accidents is surprisingly rare. I rarely see them on gore sites either, but I see dozens of them (unscathed) while watching Thai news programs or reading the papers.
