Re: Boy Accused of Molest Commits Suicide in Singapore
Us Asians tend to look really young, I am 32 now but people still check my ID at the club

Re: Boy Accused of Molest Commits Suicide in Singapore
where's the CCTV footage? or the written complaint from the molest victim, at the age of 14 that kid must have been very scared when cops around him while cross-examining. I was in Singapore last week, but I never knew about this news .. my relative also a cop in Singapore, must been a bunch of new cops hired |

Re: Boy Accused of Molest Commits Suicide in Singapore
What a tragic story?! I'm thinking he did it, why else would he jump? Seems if he really was innocent, he'd still have hope to go to that camp he had his heart set on. Things could change, right? Especially if he was proven of his innocence.. But to jump...to me, that screams guilt. Sad how it was handled too. The article said it was as though he was stunned, leaving the police headquarters. I can tell you my one experience of getting arrested had me in a shocked state too & I'm in America. There is no "innocent until proven guilty". It's the other way around for sure. I couldn't believe how one cop treated me & it was a woman! She accused me of hiding of something in my nether-regions & when my mouth flew open in horror, she said "Oh don't act like you've never done that before!!" |

The judicial system in Asian countries, including SIngapore despite it being so modern and clean is that you are "guilty until proven innocent". Its the reverse of American system.
