Bound Woman Found in the Papaloapan River, Tuxtepec, April 2014
In early April 2014, a young adult woman was found nude in a river at Tuxtepec, Oaxaca, Mexico, with her hands bound behind her back. Her body lay face-down in shallow water beside a grassy bank. A bra and blood traces were found on dry ground near the recovery point. After the body was removed from the water, blood was visible across her neck and shoulder. No cause of death or injury mechanism was established.  ·  · |

Seeing how deplorable the sociopolitical conditions are down there, I guess it makes sense why they would risk their lives at the hands of a coyote to hop the border. Nothing political, just an observation.  |
