That is a Sky Burial, a common funerary practice in Tibet wherein a human corpse is cut into small pieces and placed on a mountaintop, exposing it to the elements or the mahabhuta and animals – especially to birds of prey. In Tibetan the practice is known as jhator, which literally means, "giving alms to the birds."

i guess it is just a way to cleanly dispose of a corpse, i mean when you are buried the worms eat u lol so what is the difference if birds or wild animals do it. I had a pet rabbit that died so i fed it to 1 of my snakes :) saved me buying him his next feed
