They butcher their victims to elicit fear and shock in the rival gangs. But they've all done it so much that I imagine it's not really effective anymore. Seems like a lot of work to me.  |

Usually South American drug cartels do things like this.......Dismembering at the joints and leaving notes, Usually in public areas to scare the locals.
